Our Business Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship, aligned with the BCS International Diploma, was developed with industry input. Apprentices will learn to analyse business needs, manage stakeholders, and develop solutions to gain key skills to drive successful outcomes.

Funding band: £18,000

BCS for Business Analyst
The NowSkills Business Analyst apprenticeship is designed with the BCS International Diploma in mind. We’ve worked with employers, project managers, and business analysts to design an apprenticeship that gives you more—equipping your business analysts with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors needed for successful outcomes. Businness Analyst methodologies and frameworks are based on adaptive planning, swiftness to change, empowering people, and delivering iteratively, and continuously improvements.
Employer-led and flexible, with no two apprenticeship journeys ever the same. We use a blended approach using the best live online and physical classroom teaching experiences supported with the latest self-paced e-learning. Our monthly 1:1 teaching sessions are flexible, delivered live online or in person, depending on what your organisation needs.
We include additional Social Enrichment Sessions and celebrated speakers join us monthly on NowSkills Insights. Your apprentices also have the opportunity to achieve industry recognised certifications, beyond the scope of the apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship focuses on documenting business problems, modeling processes, creating solution requirements, managing relationships, and honing professional skills. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience and support to develop behavior, attitudes, and skills for success in a dynamic environment. + The importance of business analysis in facilitating business improvement and implementing IT system modifications creating a great business impact, and business outcomes, for business owners.
+ The job of the Business Analyst and how it interacts with other positions on a business ideas, change solutions initiative, such as those in charge of system development.
+ Life cycles of business change and system development, including the use of relevant approaches and the business impact of organisational culture and context, making a real difference to customers by using key technologies
+ The principles, characteristics, and distinctions between waterfall and agile approaches for scale work-based project delivery teams and software development for business solutions.

Apprentices must have:
(Entry requirements vary depending on the employer’s requirements.)
+ The right to work in the UK
+ Lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
+ GCSE English and maths minimum requirement at grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
+ Apprentices that don’t have GCSE English and maths at the required level undertake mandatory Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship to achieve Level 2 prior to End Point Assessment – this is at the cost of the employer
+ Relevant qualifications and or work experience at a lower level
Level 4 Business Analysis Apprenticeship, awarded by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
This Business Analyst apprenticeship covers the knowledge required to pass the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, and this optional, additional certification would require your to pass 4 exams following completion of all masterclass training sessions. These exams are:
– Business Analysis Practice
– Requirements Engineering
– Business Change
– Modelling Business Processes
BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis
This Business Analyst apprenticeship covers the knowledge required to pass the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis, and this optional, additional certification exam may be taken following the completion of all masterclass training sessions.
However, the cost of both of these additional certifications cannot be paid using government funding, including the apprenticeship Levy. This restriction is due to government Funding Rules, therefore an additional fee applies.

+ Safeguarding; fundamental British values; health, safety, & wellbeing; and equality, diversity, and inclusion
This is the period in which the apprentice crosses the threshold phase, from learning and formative assessments to the end-point assessment phase. This decision will be made by the employer, training provider, and apprentice based on the apprentice’s progress. To move onto the end-point assessment process, it is essential to have all of the basic requirements, passed all the knowledge modules and/or vendor or qualifications or professional qualifications and to provide a portfolio of work.
