Training Venues


As part of your it apprenticeship, there will be a fair proportion of classroom training in Liverpool or Manchester. This is linked to the Government’s requirement for 20% off the job training which is required for all apprenticeship programmes since May 2017.

Your Liverpool or Manchester it apprenticeship tutor will give you the details of the courses that you’ll be attending during your computing apprenticeship and by working with your employer you can choose the dates and location that is most convenient.

During your it apprenticeship classroom training, you’ll develop your IT skills by learning about cutting-edge developments in IT and business from experienced trainers and complete your certifications and classroom assessments. Fully equipped with the latest IT equipment and technology you can really put into practice everything you’ve learned, whilst benefiting from the coaching and expertise of our qualified and experienced trainers who are on-site to help you.

IT Apprenticeships in Manchester

Not only learn, but experience the vibrancy of this trendy modern city. Why not pop into the Arndale centre on your break? From shops to health and beauty and food, you could visit here many times and not run out of things to do! You could even stop for some food in the food court inside the centre, with a great variety of 9 different choices.

This may be one favoured by the creative clan. With Manchester art gallery a ten minute walk, if creativity is your thing, why not head over? You may be lucky enough to stumble across one of the many events they hold.

Enjoy culture, socialising and best of all… food? We are located ten minutes away from China town – UK’s second largest. If you’re lucky enough to be in the city in February for the Chinese New Year festival, you will be able to see the famous annual parade.

Heard of the Manchester Printworks? Choose from a variety of restaurants – fancy a burger? Try Walkabout, or fancy a multi-cuisine buffet? Peachy Keens! You’ll be pretty spoilt for choice! If you’re feeling rather full after, have a sit down with a movie at Vue cinema. Manchester is full of fun, history and education. Famous for its entertainment – music, theatre and football, you’ll never run out of new things to explore.

IT Apprenticeships in Liverpool

Located in the heart of the city, not only will you have an exciting time learning here, but there are many different things you can do in Liverpool! Why not visit the museums and learn about the Titanic, the Beatles and the Maritime History? Being central makes quick trips to cafés and restaurants a must. Do you like to explore? The City Explorer Buses will take you to different locations within the city.

Another one for our art lovers – Tate Gallery in Liverpool! Just under a mile from our centre, take a fifteen minute walk to see the latest works on display. Liverpool ONE is a few minutes’ walk away for those who love to shop! With a variety of restaurants also on offer within the centre and surrounding, you won’t go hungry!

Football fans? Not one for all, but if a fan, why not visit Anfield stadium? Just under a half hour bus journey, you could attend one of the tours or museum.

What else?

It doesn’t have to be all work and no play! Our it apprenticeship classrooms are not like being back at school. Our friendly tutors ensure that the mix of practical and theory-based training is anything but boring. Being with people of similar interests, skills and ages, you are sure to make many new friends and great memories whilst you learn.

From day one of your Apprenticeship, you will be assigned an assessor, who will be your main source of contact throughout your course. Regular visits can be expected and feedback on your assignments can be provided.

Even a day based in our learning centres can be fun – don’t be surprised if we turn up for a spontaneous visit with… PIZZA! Who doesn’t love surprise pizza?!
